【Food Guide】Homemade Dog Spaghetti
Dog Spaghetti

Spaghetti is a relatively common ingredient for us. Although it is made from wheat flour, spaghetti contains no salt, so it is safe to offer to dogs. There are many kinds of spaghetti in supermarkets. We can buy some smaller pieces, so it is more appetizing for dogs to eat.

Applicable pets: Dogs

Ingredients preparation:

Spaghetti

50g

Salmon

100g

Asparagus

2 stalks

Tea tree mushrooms

4 stalks

Carrot

Half

Bell pepper

Half

Potato

One

Bone broth or yogurt

Adequate amount

Steps:

1. Wash the carrot, asparagus, bell pepper, potato, and tea tree mushrooms without cutting them. When the water boils, put all the vegetables into the water. Take out the asparagus and bell pepper after 5 minutes; after another 3 minutes, take out the tea tree mushrooms and carrots; finally, after another 3 minutes, take out the potatoes. After removing, dice all vegetables and mix them together;

2. Wash the salmon and steam on high heat for 10-15 minutes. After cooling, shred or dice it. Do not discard the steamed broth because the fat in salmon is unsaturated fatty acids that do not clog blood vessels;

3. For spaghetti, you can choose the kind with letters intended for children. This is not for fun but because pasta shapes like ribbons or bow ties would require cutting, which is troublesome. You may choose your preferred type;

4. Put the spaghetti into cold water and cook on high heat. After boiling, cook for 10 minutes. You can taste it to make sure it is not hard in the center. Also, do not cover the pot when cooking spaghetti;

5. Mix the salmon, spaghetti, and vegetables evenly. Drizzle with bone broth or other broth. If you do not have broth, you can drizzle yogurt before feeding.

Warm tips:

Many owners find making bone broth troublesome, but it is not the case. Usually, only a small amount of bone broth is used in dog food. We can take some time on a weekend to cook a pot of bone broth with a pressure cooker, cool it, and freeze it in the refrigerator. When needed, just take some out to use, which is more convenient.
