【Food Strategy】Homemade Dog Crispy Cookies
Dog Crispy Cookies
Crispy cookies are a treat that dogs love very much, but they should not eat too many because overeating can cause fullness, and then they will not eat dog food. Therefore, you can make some easy-to-store crispy cookies for your dog regularly so that your dog can eat for a long time without worrying about quickly finishing the homemade food!
Suitable Pets: Dogs
Ingredients Preparation:
Cornmeal
6 tablespoons
Flour
3 tablespoons
Carrot
1 piece
Chicken breast
About 2 tablespoons after chopping
Oil
A little
Steps:
1. Mix cornmeal and flour in a 2:1 ratio; chop chicken breast into a minced paste and set aside;
2. Wash carrot, cut into pieces, place in blender and roughly crush to rice-sized pieces; alternatively, you can chop by hand and set aside;
3. Dissolve yeast in a bowl of warm water, add to cornmeal and flour, and mix to a batter consistency that flows but is not too thin;
4. Add the prepared minced meat and carrot paste to the batter, stir evenly, put it in a pot, cover with a lid and ferment for half an hour; (longer in winter, shorter in summer)
5. Preheat oven to 200°C (top and bottom heat) for ten minutes. Line the baking tray with aluminum foil and brush a layer of oil on the foil surface;
6. Put the fermented batter into a piping bag, squeeze into 1.5cm diameter circular granules on the baking tray, arranging them in order with appropriate gaps between each;
7. Place the baking tray in the oven and bake at 200°C (top and bottom heat) for 20 minutes, then take out. The crispy little cookies are ready!
Tips:
1. If your dog finds it not fragrant enough, you can add some chicken liver to increase aroma;
2. The baked dry cookies can be stored for a long time. Carrot can also be replaced by sweet potato or pumpkin;
3. The finished cookie size can be adjusted according to the size of your dog; make smaller cookies for small dogs and larger ones for big dogs.
