What to Do When Cats Are Abnormally Naughty?
Many cats look peaceful and calm on the outside, but their personalities are actually very naughty and lively. Many naughty behaviors can be very troublesome for owners. For example, liking to crawl into the owner’s bedding, urinating and defecating randomly in the house, fighting with other cats, getting angry and yowling loudly, etc. When cats show these abnormally naughty behaviors, owners must find ways to stop and correct them.
During the process of raising cats, we find that male cats are more prone to fighting with each other. They engage in fierce fights, scratching each other with their claws and even biting with their mouths. When this happens, owners should promptly stop the cats’ behavior. At the same time, male cats can be neutered, and fighting behavior among male cats generally disappears within a few days or months after neutering.
To correct a cat’s naughty behavior, owners must not excessively pamper the cat in daily life. Many cats become reckless and fearless because of the owner’s indulgence. The owner’s affection makes cats bolder and more wanton. They are not afraid of punishment after making mistakes, so naughty and destructive behaviors emerge one after another, and their attitude is extremely arrogant and unreasonable.
Therefore, in daily life, owners should stop unconditional pampering of their cats and scientifically train them to develop polite and gentle personalities. When cats become naughty, owners should promptly stop them and then educate, absolutely not condoning or tolerating wrong behavior. Punishments should sometimes be given where necessary, but rewards and punishments must be clear, and the owner’s attitude should be firm. While educating and training cats, the cat’s self-esteem must not be harmed.
