Why You Should Not Give Dogs Strong-Flavored Foods
Golden Retriever (Detailed Introduction)
We all know to try not to give dogs human food because human food contains too much salt and many strong-flavored items, but why is it best for dogs to avoid them? This is because dogs have very poor taste buds (which is why they eat any garbage), so they do not need to eat heavily seasoned foods, and their physiology is designed to not tolerate them. The aroma of dog food is only meant to guide dogs to eat, but the taste is nowhere near as fragrant as the smell of dog food.
For carnivorous animals, the main nutrients come from protein and minerals, basically a fresh prey, and their eating habits can only be described as simple. Additionally, dogs need to use their mouths for many activities including eating, carrying, and grooming, and having sharp taste buds would actually make it unbearable for them.
