In recent years, small dogs have become popular, such as Poodles, Bichons, Chihuahuas, and Schnauzers. They all have lively personalities, shed little, and have no strong odors, which makes them especially loved by girls. But liking them is one thing, many beginner friends don’t know how to properly raise them.

1.Do not bathe the dog frequently:
You can’t just give your dog a bath whenever you think it’s especially hot. Actually, this method is very wrong because Schnauzers naturally don’t have sweat glands. Frequently bathing them will only hurt their skin and can cause skin diseases. In summer, if you want to bathe your Schnauzer, don’t do it too often, a bath every few weeks is enough. But you can brush its fur daily to keep it dry, which helps blood circulation.
2.Never raise the dog like a pig:
Schnauzers eat very quickly, usually finishing in a few minutes. After eating, they will look at you pitifully, as if wanting more food. Many pet owners will add some food at this time, but frequently doing this will hurt the dog’s stomach. Their appetite is naturally small, so there’s no need to feed them too much at once. The key is to feed little amounts multiple times a day!

3.Do not feed it raw eggs:
Never feed Schnauzers raw eggs. Feeding raw eggs will cause severe fur loss and may deform the bones. We all know raw eggs contain special bacteria that easily cause dogs to get sick. So eggs must be cooked before feeding, and try to feed less egg white as it is very hard to digest.
4.Do not feed dogs leftovers:
Never feed your dog whatever you eat, especially leftover food. Don’t let your beloved dog become a harmed dog. Human food is usually oily or salty, which can cause tear stains, fur loss, and various skin diseases in dogs. For your dog’s health, you should feed it dog food as the main staple. Choosing a good dog food is very important—preferably a natural, mild, and nutritious dog food.

5.Do not feed dogs sharp bones:
As the owner, never feed Schnauzers various bones, especially small sharp bones. These small bones can easily hurt their esophagus and may cause bleeding. If you want to feed bones, choose big bones from pigs, cows, or sheep, which help in teeth grinding and calcium supplementation. You can also buy food that is especially good for calcium and helps with teeth grinding.

Not only Schnauzers, but all dogs should avoid these things. Feed them scientifically, so the dog stays healthy and the owner worries less. After all, once a dog gets sick, the expenses can be quite high.
