Typically priced around 100~500, better ones above 500, especially pure ones above 1000. Here are some rules to check if a Pomeranian is pure: weight should be around 4-5 pounds, shoulder height about 18cm-22cm. Head and body balanced, facial expression sweet. Head The head is proportional to the body, muzzle short, straight, delicate, able to open mouth freely without appearing coarse.
Expression alert, somewhat fox-like. Skull closely joined, skull slightly rounded but not domed. When viewed from the front or side, you can see small ears positioned very high and erect. Imagine a line starting at the tip of the nose passing through the middle of the eyes and ear tips, you can find the Pomeranian's head is wedge-shaped. Eye color dark, bright, medium-sized and almond-shaped. They are located on the prominent stop on both sides of the skull.
The Pomeranian's nose leather and eye rims are black, except for brown, beaver, and blue Pomeranians, which match their own coat colors. Scissor bite. Missing one tooth is acceptable. Major defects: too round, domed skull; overbite; underbite.
Neck short, its connection with the shoulder allows the head to be held high. Back short, backline level.
Body compact, ribs well sprung, chest deep and level with elbows. Feather-like tail is a characteristic of this breed, carried straight and flat over the back. Pomeranian (Fig.6) Pomeranian’s shoulders sufficiently slant backward to allow neck and head to be held high. Shoulder and leg muscles moderately developed. Length of scapula equals upper arm. Front legs straight and parallel to each other. Length from elbow to withers approximately equal to length from elbow to ground.
Wrists straight and strong. Paws arched, compact, neither turned inward nor outward. Nails project forward. Dewclaws can be removed. Major defect: low wrist.
Hind legs and rump at proper angles to the hindquarters. Rump positioned properly behind the tail. Thigh muscles moderately developed, stifle moderately bent creating a clear contour. Hocks perpendicular to the ground, leg bones straight, and both hind legs parallel.
Paws arched, compact, neither turned inward nor outward. Nails project forward. Dewclaws on hind legs may be removed. Major defect: cow-hocked or hind legs or stifle lacking stable support structure. Pomeranians have a double coat, with the undercoat soft and dense. Outer coat long, straight, shiny and harsh in texture. Thick undercoat supports the outer coat, allowing it to stand on the body.
Coat dense on neck, front of shoulders and forechest, forming a ruff on shoulders and chest front. Head and leg hair shorter than on other parts of body, lying close to body. Front leg furnishings extending to wrists, tail full of long, harsh, loose and straight hair. Trimming to define clean outlines is allowed. Major defects: coat soft, flat, sparse.
