　　2. It is best not to use clippers on some sensitive areas of the poodle

　　The belly and the poodle’s physiological organs are very sensitive and have thin skin. If these areas are excessively exposed to clippers, it may cause skin allergies or redness and swelling. When cleaning hair in these parts, it is best to put on a protective brush or similar on the blade. In any case, avoid overstimulating the skin while shaving.

　　3. If the poodle is not in good health, it is best to postpone shaving

　　Shaving a poodle is tiring for you and the dog. If your poodle has been in poor health lately, it is better to postpone shaving to avoid causing illness.

　　4. Do not do skin-close shaving on your poodle if you are not confident

　　If it is your first time shaving a dog, it is best not to do skin-close shaving on the poodle. The reason is similar to the above: skin-close shaving means the clipper will come in contact with the poodle’s skin, and because of lack of experience or uncooperative behavior from the poodle, repeatedly shaving the same area or pinching the poodle’s skin is very common in trying to clean a certain spot thoroughly.
