First, before going to the pet store, we should prepare some cotton swabs with the purpose of checking whether the kitten’s ears have mites, commonly called ear mites. If a cat suffers from this disease, it is very difficult to cure. If there are other cats at home, this disease can spread to them. So this is the very first thing we must inspect!

The second thing we need to pay attention to is to see if the cat’s rear end has any secretions, which directly relates to the cat’s health! If there are secretions on the cat’s bottom, it means it recently had diarrhea; such a cat is not the one we want to choose for raising!

Step three: We can use our hand to touch the cat’s nose. If the air coming from the nostrils feels hotter than usual, it indicates the kitten might be catching a cold or has a fever. Also, the cat’s nose should not be too dry or too moist, which are also signs that the cat is unhealthy!

Step four: Observe if the cat’s tail is raised. This relates to whether the cat is active in daily life. Additionally, we can feel the cat’s entire body to check if it is shedding a lot of hair, and see if there are any patchy scars or hard areas on its back!

After we choose to raise a kitten, we should take the responsibility we ought to bear. Spend more time accompanying them. Don’t just buy one on a whim and then let it "grow freely." Especially since cats have a hard time adapting when entering a new environment at first. We should also take cats for physical exams regularly, which is being responsible for their health!
