Some cats with congenital heart defects may die shortly after birth, some fortunately recover naturally, but others may develop symptoms such as delayed growth, sluggishness, lethargy, easy fatigue, pale skin, cyanosis, difficulty breathing, and even fainting 3 to 4 months after birth.
