Teach a Cat to Walk on a Leash
Cats are different from dogs; training a cat to walk on a leash is not easy. Start training after the kitten is weaned by getting it used to wearing a collar first. Choose a collar with a stretch band for safety. If the cat climbs a tree and the branch accidentally hooks the collar, the stretch band allows it to escape. Once the kitten is accustomed to the collar, you can attach a thin leash and lead it for a walk.
Begin walking inside a large room, then in the garden, and possibly on the sidewalk. Consistent and patient training may yield results. However, cats are very independent animals and will never be as easily led as dogs anywhere you want. If the cat is unwilling, you absolutely cannot force it to walk on a leash. (Source:PetsZone)
