Cats are different from dogs; training a cat to walk on a leash is not easy. Start training after the kitten is weaned by getting it used to wearing a collar first. Choose a collar with a stretch band for safety. If the cat climbs a tree and the branch accidentally hooks the collar, the stretch band allows it to escape. Once the kitten is accustomed to the collar, you can attach a thin leash and lead it for a walk.

　　Begin walking inside a large room, then in the garden, and possibly on the sidewalk. Consistent and patient training may yield results.
