Tips for Quietly Taking Your Pet Cat to the Vet

Scottish Fold Cat

love cleanliness, and it is very easy to get them to urinate and defecate in a fixed litter box. The litter box must be cleaned regularly, and the bedding needs frequent replacement. However, even so, the smell from the cat's feces is strong and rather unpleasant. Some people ask, some can urinate and defecate in the flush toilet, which is enviable. So how do you train them?

Before training, place a plastic board (or use a wooden board) under the seat ring of the flush toilet, then spread an appropriate amount of sand, ash, sawdust, or similar litter on the board. When you notice the cat about to defecate, immediately take it to the flush toilet. Soon, it will defecate on its own. After several patient trainings, the cat will gradually form the habit of urinating and defecating on the flush toilet with the litter. Then gradually reduce the litter on the plastic or wooden board. During this process, the cat will quickly learn to stand on the toilet seat ring to excrete, rather than standing on the lower layer of litter inside the toilet.

Then gradually remove all the litter and drill a hole on the plastic board to allow urine to drain downward. If you remove the litter too early, and the cat refuses to use the toilet seat ring anymore, you will have to start the training over. In short, you must wait until the cat has developed the habit of standing on the toilet seat ring to urinate and defecate before removing the plastic or wooden board.

During the training process, pay attention to several details. First, change the litter daily when soiled by urine or feces and always keep the flush toilet clean. This will speed up the training; second, during training, forbid people from using the flush toilet at the same time, especially do not disturb or obstruct the cat when it is urinating or defecating on the toilet; third, some cats may accidentally slip inside the flush toilet, and such cats generally will no longer use the toilet for urination or defecation. At that time, the owner must start training from scratch until the cat learns to use the flush toilet properly.
