How to Train a Kitten Not to Bite People

Many friends report that when their house-raised kittens are almost 2 months old, they will grab and bite whenever they see a person, especially male cats, biting almost nonstop. Why exactly? It’s hard to say clearly, but kittens like to play hunting and pouncing games during their development. If the kittens have no other prey toys to play with, they will just play with you!
The solution is to buy some toys for the kittens, such as carpet sets for scratching, hanging small balls, moving toy mice, etc. Let the kitten play with toys until it is tired; naturally, it will have no energy to grab you to play.
Additionally, you should trim the kitten’s nails to avoid them scratching or hooking you.
Other methods include pretending to be hurt. When the kitten scratches you, loudly say it hurts, then ignore it and don’t play with it. Most cats do not like hurting their owners, so when they notice the owner is unhappy, they will be careful and avoid biting hard. Or simply ignore it, so the kitten realizes that playing too wildly makes the owner unhappy.
In more extreme cases, you can use a spray method: when the kitten tries to pounce and bite you, spray it with a prepared water gun or sprayer. After several times, the kitten will no longer dare to pounce and bite you. (Source:PetsZone)
