How to Cultivate and Exercise a Cat's Vitality
Cats have different personalities, preferences, and living habits. The two cats in my home are completely different: one is lively and very friendly, while the other is solitary and lazy, spending all day either eating or sleeping. For those cats who only eat and sleep, we should take corresponding measures to make them more active, which can help improve their social abilities!
The family and environment where the cat lives play an important role in promoting the cat’s vitality and exercise. Does your home have many facilities for the cat to climb on? Do you put away the toys after every interactive play session? To increase a cat’s activity level, owners need to buy some toys, cat trees, or scratching boards. Set aside a fixed time each day to play with your cat. Remember, cats are interested in anything that moves, which gives them the opportunity to improve their hunting skills. If your home has a split-level structure, try to separate the cat’s feeding area from its sleeping area on different floors; this helps increase the cat’s movement and provides vitality.
For cats that live indoors all year round, it is especially important to consume the energy they would normally use for patrolling territory and hunting.
