How is cat neutering done?

Chinchilla
Neutering
If you do not want the cat to reproduce, it needs to be neutered. This prevents female cats from becoming pregnant and stops male cats' unwanted sexual behaviors.
If a female cat is not neutered, she will have several heat periods each year during which she will seek mates. Fully mature male cats, if not neutered, will roam around, urinate everywhere, and fight with other males. The neutering operation should be done under anesthesia.
Ovary removal
Female cats should have their ovaries removed at around four to five months old, but not during heat periods. The surgery removes ovaries and uterus, leaving a small wound on the skin.
After surgery, the cat should rest in the operating room overnight.
Testicle removal
Male cats should be neutered at six months old. The wound typically does not require stitches and recovers by the next day. Male cats must be neutered only after their reproductive organs have developed. (Source:PetsZone)
