Correcting the Bad Habit of Cats Liking to Bite People

Exotic Shorthair Cat
Many friends report that when their pet are nearly 2 months old, they grab and bite people whenever they are held, especially , who often bite continuously at every chance. Why is that? It's hard to say exactly, but generally, young enjoy playing hunting and pouncing games during their development stage. If the has no other prey to play with, it will just play with you!
The solution is to buy some toys for your cat, such as carpet scratching sets, hanging balls, moving toy mice, and so on, so the cat can play until it is tired and naturally won’t have the energy to grab you to play.
Additionally, you should trim your cat's nails to prevent claws from catching or scratching people.
Other methods include pretending to be in pain which is also effective. When the cat scratches you, yell out in pain, then ignore it and do not play with it. Most cats don’t like hurting their owners, so when they notice you're upset, they will be more careful and avoid biting you hard. Or simply ignore it, letting the cat realize that playing too wildly displeases the owner.
For more stubborn cases, using a spray bottle is also an option. When the cat tries to pounce or bite you, spray the cat with water using a prepared water gun or sprayer. After a few times, the cat won’t dare to pounce and bite you anymore.
