A Few Tricks to Teach Your Cat Living Etiquette
Cats are both clever and capricious, prideful and aloof; it's hard to make them do things they don't want to, and similarly, it's difficult to restrict what they want to do. Here, I share a little secret about setting certain boundaries for cats.
Cats like to scratch furniture, especially those made with leather, velvet, and rubber, often leaving such furniture full of holes and devastated beyond repair! But cats strongly dislike the surfaces of foil and double-sided tape. Stick these papers onto the furniture surfaces your cat likes to scratch, and at the same time prepare a cedarwood scratching board for them. Your expensive beloved furniture will be spared from torment.
Some cats like to climb onto stoves or food cabinets; some tend to urinate everywhere during their heat cycles. If you follow my method and carefully carry it out a few times, you can guarantee to eliminate these bad habits. Prepare a powerful water gun, observe your cat's behavior from a few meters away without letting them detect you watching. When the cat has just climbed onto the stove or cabinet, or is preparing to urinate randomly, suddenly spray water at them, preferably hitting their head. The cat will be scared and flee in panic. After 2-3 times, when you take the cat back to the place where it was sprayed, it will struggle hard to escape, completely solving your concerns. (Source:PetsZone)
