Because dogs naturally have very warm fur, you don’t need to worry about them getting cold normally. When it gets colder, their fur grows thicker; this is their own self-protection mechanism. This is an advantage of dogs. How to tell if a dog has a fever? You need to observe its condition: whether it was bathed today, if it’s eating normally, and if there is a runny nose. Any behavior different from usual means it’s sick! Also, if you don’t know how to take its temperature, you can directly touch the dog’s ears with your hand. Normally, its ears are cool to the touch; if they’re warm, it has a cold! If you bought a thermometer, insert it into the dog’s anus, wait for a minute, and then you can read the temperature. Be careful with force when inserting it to avoid being bitten. Also, dog temperatures are different from humans; a fever is between 39°C and 40°C, so don’t apply human temperature standards to dogs.

When a Malinois refuses to eat any food, it also means a cold. Don’t underestimate illness. During the process of raising a Malinois, you can feed it dog food that boosts immunity. Don’t be stingy with money; raise them slowly. Once you gain experience, it will be better!
