As is well known, Golden Retrievers are gentle pets. They are very enthusiastic towards their owners and family members, but they are also quite cautious towards unfamiliar things. Golden Retrievers are basically dogs that cause a fuss whenever they see cars. When we adopt a pet dog, we want to train the dog into the shape we desire. Generally, dogs are cautious and fearful when encountering unfamiliar things. During the training process, Golden Retrievers cannot learn the owner's commands perfectly in one go. Owners need to remain calm and patiently teach the dog. Commands should also be concise and clear.

Review to understand anew. To flexibly apply all learned things, frequent review is essential. Therefore, owners should spend some time helping their dogs to revisit old commands. When Golden Retrievers actively complete a command, owners should encourage and reward them but avoid praising too often, which might make the dog feel arrogant. Training a Golden Retriever well takes relatively long time, so owners should be mentally prepared and not rush, as impatience can affect the dog’s psychology.

In training, ordinary dogs should start from the most basic actions. Do not select commands that are too difficult for the dog to complete all at once, which can cause psychological burdens. At three months old, Golden Retrievers are in their golden training period with the best training effect. Training them later on becomes more difficult. If the Golden Retriever does not cooperate in training, you can lightly pat its backside to encourage it to focus on training.
