It's best not to eat milk powder dry

For very young puppies, since their bodily functions are not yet fully developed, they are prone to various problems. For puppies just entering a new home, it is not recommended to feed them dog food directly. On one hand, dogs may feel unfamiliar with the new environment and their physical condition may decline; on the other hand, dog food may not be easy to digest for puppies. Therefore, for the first few days, you can feed dog milk powder, but how to feed dog milk powder reasonably requires attention to the amount and method of feeding.

Generally, we provide dogs with specialized goat milk powder. The advantage is protecting the gastrointestinal health of the dog and making nutrient absorption easier. Goat milk mainly contains casein and whey protein, is naturally mildly alkaline like breast milk, and contains various nutrients. It balances nutrition to enhance absorption, improves gastrointestinal function, and protects gastrointestinal health. At the same time, it can enhance the pet's immunity and promote development.

For dogs new to the home, it is recommended to feed them only goat milk powder for the first few days, 2-3 times a day, with moderate amounts, as overfeeding is not beneficial to puppies. After a few days, you can soak dog food with milk powder to feed the puppy. Then gradually decrease the water content until finally feeding dry puppy food directly. Later, milk powder can be given once daily, and after the puppy grows a bit more, feeding milk powder can be stopped.

Some owners might sprinkle goat milk powder directly on dry dog food; this method is not recommended since it can increase intestinal burden and potentially cause digestive heat.
