Train Teddy Bear to Learn Searching Skills

Owners all know that training a Teddy Bear is not an overnight task; training progresses from simple to difficult. After some simple training, we start to train some slightly more difficult actions. At this time, there is already a certain tacit understanding between the owner and the dog, so the difficulty can be increased, such as search training. The following are some methods of search training, hoping to help everyone.
Train Teddy Bear to learn searching skills.
Before conducting this training, the Teddy Bear should understand several commands: go, search, lie down, etc., and already know how to fetch objects.
Step one, at the beginning of search training, pay attention that the Teddy Bear understands that the direction of the outstretched arm is where he is to search, not to look at the arm. During this phase of training, you can intentionally point in a direction while walking with the Teddy Bear, and command the Teddy Bear "go." After repeating this multiple times, the Teddy Bear will know that the direction pointed by the hand is the direction he should go.
Step two, when starting training, don’t place the item you want the Teddy Bear to find too far away. A distance of a dozen or several dozen steps is sufficient. Centered on the Teddy Bear, place the item in a location behind an obstacle, out of the dog’s sight. Return to the Teddy Bear’s side and use gestures and commands to let the Teddy Bear begin searching. At this stage, try to avoid letting the Teddy Bear circle around.
Be sure to note, if the Teddy Bear feels difficulty during the search process, you need to find ways to help him. Ultimately, you must let him find the item; otherwise, frustration will make the Teddy Bear resist this training. Also, reward him at every training stage. Regardless of the type of training, after multiple repetitions, success will come.
