【Test】Dog Problem-Solving Ability Mini Test
Golden Retriever (Detailed Introduction)
Did you know? Dogs also have problem-solving abilities. Although the chance of dogs encountering problems in daily life is not very high, giving dogs certain problems to solve can help stimulate their intelligence. Here, the editor will introduce a method to test a dog’s problem-solving ability.
Test Method:
You will need an empty can, some tasty dog biscuits, and a stopwatch capable of recording seconds.
First, show the dog the food and let it smell it, then with a big motion place the food on the floor, and cover the food with the can. Start the stopwatch and encourage the dog to get the bait.
Test Results:
1. If the dog kicks the can away and gets the food within 5 seconds, please give it 5 points.
2. If it takes 5–15 seconds, give 4 points. 15–30 seconds, give 3 points. 30–60 seconds, give 2 points.
3. If the dog tries once or twice, sniffs the can but fails to get the food within one minute, give 1 point.
4. If the dog does not try at all to get the food, give it 0 points.
