Teach You to Understand the Dog’s “Eight Sentences”
Alaskan Malamute

In daily life, dogs always express their thoughts to their owners through body language, but if the owner doesn’t understand their language, the dog’s meaning is often misunderstood. Here, the editor will tell you eight common psychological expressions dogs show in daily life; let’s learn together.
  1. Joy: The dog keeps jumping, body bent, stomping the ground with the front legs or wagging its tail vigorously left and right, ears twisted backward. Large dogs may even lift a front paw to lick the owner’s face. Some dogs may show excessive joy and lose emotional control, which mostly happens in young dogs and gradually disappears with age. The sound dogs make when joyful is a bright “woof woof.”
  2. Pleasant: When in a pleasant mood, excited, and showing affection to people, the dog’s behavior is more stable than when joyful, just slowly wagging its tail, making a slight “moo moo” sound from the throat, and sometimes continuously licking the owner’s hands and face.
  3. Acting Cute: When acting cute, the dog produces a “hehe” sound with its nose. When seeking the owner’s forgiveness while acting cute, it will lower its tail. When it wants something or urges the owner to play with it, it gently wags its tail and no longer lowers it.
  4. Anger: When angry, the dog’s whole body stiffens, legs spread apart, fur bristling, lips curled to show teeth, producing a threatening “moo moo” sound to intimidate the other party. The tail also slightly wags, and ears stand erect facing the opponent.
  5. Sadness: When sad, the dog makes “goo goo,” “hehe” sounds to express a desire to get close to the owner, to “tell” about its sorrow, pain, and misfortune. At such times, the dog also droops its tail and rubs against the owner’s body in a seeking-rescue posture.
  6. Alertness: When alert, the ears stand up, not missing a single sound, and the dog barks “woof woof.” When an outside enemy approaches, it produces continuous barking like “woof-woof woof woof woof.”
  7. Fear: When fearful, the dog will lower its tail to varying degrees depending on the level of fear. When the tail is completely tucked between its legs, it shows extreme fear; the ears also turn backward in a sleeping position, and the whole body curls up tightly.
  8. Loneliness: When lonely, the whole body relaxes and softens, yawning while making “ah ah” sounds.
