       Although we cannot know the dog's physical condition through language, by observing more, we will find that many times we can discover some clues from their living state. Just like dog poop, we can learn a lot of information from it. So let's briefly talk about the problems indicated by dog poop.

       1. Worms in the poop: Common worms found in dog poop are roundworms or pinworms, shaped long and round, very similar to white earthworms. When the worms dry out, their color and shape look like rubber bands. Tapeworms are another more common type; owners usually only see tapeworm segments on the dog poop, sized like white melon seeds, which can crawl but move very slowly. If you find worms wriggling on your dog's stool, catch them with a tool and take them to the vet so the doctor has a basis, making treatment much more effective.

       2. Diarrhea: The most common reason for dog diarrhea is eating random food, usually resulting in watery or muddy soft stool. This is because the normal gut flora has changed, and gas-producing bacteria multiply in large numbers, causing the intestinal movement to speed up, which leads to diarrhea.

       3. Constipation: Sometimes you will see the dog struggling painfully when pooping, barely squeezing out a small very hard stool. This usually means the dog is constipated. Causes of constipation are generally related to whether sufficient fiber is consumed regularly, if bone eating occurred, or if there is any issue with the intestinal movement.

       4. Blood in stool: Bloody stool can be divided into "upper digestive tract bleeding" or "lower digestive tract bleeding," and these two have very different stool appearances. Causes of upper digestive tract bleeding are usually stomach or duodenal ulcers. If it is upper digestive tract bleeding, that is bleeding from the esophagus, stomach, or duodenum, the stool color and shape will be sticky, black like tar. This is because large amounts of blood are digested by gastric juice and digestive enzymes, and iron in the blood oxidizes to black. In such cases, it is best to immediately take the dog to the hospital for examination.

       As can be seen, just from the stool alone we can learn a lot of information, so we should develop the habit of observing more when raising dogs, which is very beneficial for properly caring for dogs.
