How to Establish Authority in Front of Dogs

Dogs are pack animals. Among a group of dogs, there is always a leader guiding the entire pack. Therefore, when a dog enters family life, it will try to claim territory and compete to be the boss. For this reason, the owner must seize the initiative and establish their authority in front of the dog, becoming the dog's true and only master.
First, in daily life, you need to care for and love your pet dog, but you absolutely cannot spoil it. Simply put, the dog cannot have things its own way. The owner must let the dog know that you are the master within this environment, and only you can decide and control its diet and life. For example, only you can decide what the dog eats and when it eats. Only you can restrict where the dog can go and when it can go.
Second, you must clearly distinguish rewards and punishments in dealing with your pet dog. When praise is needed, do not hesitate, but when the dog makes a mistake, punishment cannot be avoided. It is worth noting that rewards and criticisms must be timely whether the dog performs well or does something wrong. If a day or two has passed, do not bring up the matter again, because the dog has long forgotten about events from days ago, and rehashing them will only confuse it more.
Establishing authority in front of the dog must be built in the little things of daily life. Whether it's feeding, sleeping, playing, or training, the owner must have absolute leadership over the dog. Only in this way can the owner's authority slowly be established, becoming the true master of the pet dog.
