Potential Dangers for Dogs at Home

Pet Dogs
Some friends think that pet dogs staying at home are definitely safe. In fact, even at home, there are many potential dangers that can harm pet dogs at any time. Therefore, a qualified owner must always pay attention to taking some necessary measures to prevent accidental dangers.
First, pay attention to balconies and windows at home. Nowadays, most buildings are high-rises, and windows pose potential dangers to pets. Besides windows, balcony designs mostly only consider human safety, and many gaps have the risk of causing pets to fall. So it is necessary to raise the balcony and window railings, and use wire mesh to seal overly wide gaps. For windows and balconies that cannot be sealed, try to avoid placing chairs, wooden boxes, or other climbing objects in front. When going out, always remember to close the windows and balcony doors.
Secondly, pay attention to the electrical wires at home. Make sure there are no exposed wires, and it is best to disconnect the power to appliances when the owner goes out or before sleeping. If you need to leave the puppy home alone, it should be confined to a room without wires to prevent it from chewing on wires out of boredom.
Also, pay attention to ropes and strings at home. Kittens and puppies are particularly attracted to ropes and strings and may mistakenly think they are toys. If accidentally swallowed, it can cause intestinal blockage or even suffocation in severe cases. Playing with curtain cords and blinds also carries the risk of entanglement, which may cause injury or strangulation. Therefore, it is best to clean up ropes and strings at home. Sewing needles and threads must be stored in cabinets or drawers. Curtain cords must be knotted or shortened to prevent pets from pulling them freely.
