Morphological characteristics of the Tibetan Hound
Tibetan Hound (Detailed Introduction)
The Tibetan Hound has a well-proportioned body, medium length, slightly longer than its height, with a shoulder height of about 10 inches from the ground. The dog's head is relatively small and balanced in proportion to the body, often proudly held high, giving a noble impression. Male Tibetan Hounds appear strong but not bulky. The eyes are deep brown, oval, bright and expressive, medium-sized, set wide apart, with black eye rims. The ears are medium-sized, drooping, with abundant decorative hair on adult dogs' ears. The nose leather is black, the lower jaw slightly protrudes, and the teeth are even.
The neck is slightly short but very sturdy, the back is level, the front paws are small and neat, the hind legs are strong, and when viewed from behind, they appear straight. The tail is set very high with abundant feathered hair, and when moving, the tail happily curls over the back.
It has a double-layered coat that naturally lies flat on the body, with smooth hair on the face and front legs. The hair on the soles should be trimmed. The colors for this dog are not fixed; various color combinations are acceptable.
When walking, they move quickly, walk in a straight line, with an extended gait full of joy and confidence.
