Beagle Medication
Beagle Dog (Detailed Introduction)
If your beloved beagle is a very obedient puppy, then when feeding it tablets or other solid medicine, you should first command it to sit properly.
Have the puppy open its mouth, quickly place the tablet as far back in its mouth as possible, then gently close its lower jaw, lift its head upward, and stroke its neck to help the puppy swallow the tablet. This process may take a few seconds.
However, the best method is to hide the tablet (or crush it into powder) in the food the puppy loves to eat.
If feeding the puppy liquid medicine, you can get a syringe from the veterinary clinic or buy one at the pharmacy to feed the puppy the medicine.
When injecting the liquid medicine, you should squirt it into the puppy’s mouth, not the throat, as that may cause the liquid to enter the trachea easily. Then, hold the puppy’s lower jaw with your hand until it swallows the medicine.
