Issues Worth Noting When Raising Dogs in Spring
As the Qingming Festival ends, temperatures gradually rise, and the weather gets hotter. What should we pay attention to when raising a dog?

1. Adjust diet and moderate exercise: With temperature changes, if the dog's appetite decreases, reduce meat intake, feed some fresh vegetables, fruits, vegetable soup, and meat broth in moderation, give the dog more water, avoid letting the dog be under the sun all the time, take the dog outdoors for moderate activities, and try to avoid intense exercise;
2. Prevent food spoilage: As temperatures rise, food easily spoils and ferments. To protect the dog's health, always feed fresh food, clean the dog's utensils promptly, and disinfect regularly to prevent bacterial growth;
3. Moisture prevention: Although spring is dry, humidity is relatively high, so pay attention to moisture prevention. Frequently change the dog's bedding, and often take bedding out to air in the sun. After the dog bathes, be sure to dry the dog promptly by blow-drying or wiping;
4. Skin infections: If the dog has skin wounds, handle them in time because spring is a peak season for bacteria and viruses. Untimely or improper treatment can easily lead to skin ulcers and other skin diseases;
5. Hygiene cleaning: Clean the dog's various parts promptly, especially hidden areas (ears, nose, eyes, armpits, inner thighs, anus, etc.) to prevent bacteria from causing skin infections;
6. Prevent heatstroke: Although it is not summer, if a dog performs intense or high-intensity exercise and due to large temperature differences, high humidity, and poor ventilation, the dog's body heat dissipates slowly, heatstroke may occur. Owners should arrange the dog's living environment in advance and ensure timely ventilation;
Additionally, the temperature difference between morning and evening is large. When walking and feeding the dog outside, try to avoid intense exercise to prevent catching a cold after sweating. At night, the dog might feel hot in the first half of the night but must be kept warm in the second half.
