Issues Needing Attention for Elderly Labradors
As Labradors enter old age, their physical condition deteriorates, resulting in various problems. Owners must take careful care to ensure their elderly Labradors live comfortably in their later years.~

Many Labradors develop issues with urine and fecal leakage as they age, caused by relaxation of the muscles controlling defecation and the bladder, leading to involuntary leakage.
Fecal incontinence is not a big problem. As long as the beloved Labrador exercises regularly, it will not happen often. Urinary incontinence is more problematic because urine emits an unpleasant odor. Since the Labrador is also the victim, owners should not blame it, as this only increases its sadness and anxiety. Medication can be used to relieve the symptoms.
Syrup is recommended; however, feeding syrup may increase the Labrador’s weight, so if the dog is overweight, other methods should be considered. Veterinary advice can also be sought. To reiterate, once a Labrador develops this condition, what it needs most is the owner’s understanding and patience.
