How to Train Samoyeds to Urinate and Defecate? Samoyed Toilet Training
How to train Samoyeds to urinate and defecate? Before bringing a Samoyed puppy home, we must first choose a location, such as a corner or inside the bathroom. Make sure to designate the spot clearly and do not change it lightly. Later, train the Samoyed puppy to urinate and defecate at this designated spot. At first, the Samoyed puppy may not adapt well and may even throw tantrums, but it’s okay. You must insist on using this spot and preferably keep it a bit away from where the puppy eats or sleeps. Over time, the Samoyed puppy will slowly get used to it.
How to Train Samoyeds to Urinate and Defecate
Generally, dogs will urinate or defecate within 30 minutes after eating or waking up. Using this characteristic, we can observe the Samoyed puppy's behavior and then guide the puppy accordingly.
For example, after the Samoyed eats or wakes up, we keep an eye on the dog. Once you notice the puppy showing signs of needing to urinate, such as circling or sniffing around, immediately guide the Samoyed there — gently pulling or coaxing the puppy to the correct spot.
At the same time, whenever the Samoyed does urinate or defecate at the designated spot, be sure to encourage the dog, such as giving a favorite treat or a small piece of beef as positive reinforcement. Gradually, the Samoyed will understand that urinating and defecating here is correct, and the habit of toileting at a fixed spot will be established.

Do not scold Samoyed dogs
Do not easily scold the Samoyed puppy for urinating or defecating, otherwise the dog will think urinating or defecating is a "wrong thing". Later, it will only urinate or defecate stealthily when the owner is not paying attention, making training more difficult.
So when the puppy urinates in the right place, the owner should give big encouragement! If the puppy goes in the wrong place, just use a slightly stern (louder) tone to say, "No!", then immediately carry the dog to the correct spot to urinate or defecate. Also, clean up the wrong place’s excrement immediately, and thoroughly remove the odor there (using bleach or deodorizing spray). This prevents the Samoyed puppy from smelling the previous scent and urinating in the same wrong spot again, which would be hard to correct later.
