How to Teach Your Dog to Play Dead
There are many types of pet dog training, such as teaching it to “sit and stand,” as well as leash training. These trainings help owners manage their dogs conveniently and are beneficial with no harm to the dog itself. But have you heard of training pet dogs to “play dead”? When relatives and friends visit, this trick is definitely a great way to make everyone laugh, and the training method is quite simple.
1. Generally, dogs will be uncomfortable and immediately turn around to lie on the ground. At this moment, immediately say [No] or [不], gently grab its belly to let it know it did something wrong.
2. Keep repeating step 2 until it obediently lies on its back without moving. Always give the [Bang] command each time. When it succeeds, be sure to praise it immediately.
3. Then you can move farther away, point your finger at it, and give the [Bang] command to see if it understands to lie down and stay still immediately.
4. After repeated practice, the training is complete. Remember to praise it every time it does well so it can understand exactly what you want.
Training tip: This command generally works best when the dog has finished intense exercise or play and is exhausted. Play command: Play dead
