The price of Schnauzers cannot be generalized. Depending on the different appearance and regions, there will be some difference. Usually, the price fluctuates between 800~4000 yuan, but generally, an ordinary dog 1500 yuan or so can be bought.

Why is there such a big price difference even though they are all Schnauzers? The main reason is the difference in bloodline. Those Schnauzers that can be bought for a few hundred yuan more or less have some defects, such as bench Schnauzers, bucktooth Schnauzers, rabbit ear Schnauzers, etc. This indicates that some mutations often occur during their growth process. We cannot say they are not Schnauzers, only that their bloodline is poor.

If you want to raise Schnauzers, you need to buy some good ones. Before buying, carefully look at the puppy’s pedigree and see how a standard-compliant Schnauzer is described there. Many people do not understand the specifics and just want a cheaper price, which has caused the diversification of this Schnauzer breed, making true breeders sad to see various disqualified puppies born.

In recent years, some breeders, in order to meet consumers’ preference for small dogs, have specially researched and bred smaller sized Schnauzers. Although their appearance is consistent with miniatures, their weight is about four, or five kilograms. This ultra-small breed is called "Toy Schnauzer," but it has not yet been recognized by any kennel club.

As for Schnauzer prices in different regions, the fluctuation is also quite large. In the Yangtze River Delta region, ordinary ones cost about 1500 yuan, while better ones can reach 3000~4000 yuan. In other regions, ordinary Schnauzers range between 800~1200 yuan, and better ones can reach 2000~3000 yuan.
