【Grooming Guide】Husky Grooming Treatment
Do not do unnecessary trimming on the Husky’s coat
Although Huskies are well known and loved for their quirky expressions, it must be admitted that they look quite heroic when serious. If you tidy up their coat a bit, they look very neat.

3. Steps
1. First, use a pin brush to comb the Husky's hair. In addition to removing debris from the body, this also helps clear out loose fur that hasn't fallen off yet.
2. Then do some appropriate trimming. Generally, Huskies do not need their coat trimmed, except trimming the messy hair between the toes for a tidy appearance. Other parts of the coat do not require special trimming.
3. Before bathing, you can trim the nails. It is recommended to trim nails before the bath because it’s hard to guarantee no injury or blood from accidental cuts caused by the dog’s movement, which could stain the coat. Trimming nails before bathing allows timely cleaning if blood does get on the coat.
4. Next is bathing and cleaning. The bathing order is: express anal glands — limbs — body — head. When rinsing, reverse the order and rinse the head first to avoid the shampoo staying too long on the head and increasing the chance of getting into the dog's eyes.
5. Afterwards, completely blow-dry the dog’s coat while combing the hair during drying.
6. Then trim the stray hairs one more time and proceed with ear cleaning and other care.
4. TIPS
1. Avoid unnecessary trimming on the Husky. Only moderately trim if some asymmetrical hair grows out.
2. Try to keep the coat fluffy, not flattened all together.
3. Remember to dilute the shampoo. Do not apply shampoo directly on the coat like washing human hair and then rinse—that is incorrect.
4. Avoid taking the dog out in excessively strong sunlight, as it’s not good for the health of the Husky’s coat and skin.
