　　In summer, people always like to eat some chilled foods to cool down, but it should be noted that some human cooling foods are not good for dogs. The following five foods especially require owners’ attention.

　　1. Chilled Beer

　　A drink with your dog?

　　Stop! Beer does more harm than good for dogs and should not be given at all, unless you are determined to have a dog with a beer belly, waddling to school, unable to function without alcohol, and drunk all day long. 　　How to control the amount? My method is: I eat the ice cream first, then let the dog lick the container.

　　3. Chilled Drinks

　　Chilled drinks are not completely forbidden for dogs, but the key is moderation. Too cold things stimulate the stomach and intestines, possibly causing digestive system diseases, so it really isn’t worth a moment’s pleasure.

　　4. Watermelon

　　There is a saying “Nothing tastes better than dumplings,” but that’s for winter. In summer, it should be changed to “Nothing tastes better than watermelon.” Feeding dogs a moderate amount of watermelon can help cool off the heat, but if they eat too much, get ready with some tissues!

　　5. Chilled Yogurt

　　Milk is the most perfect food. Yogurt not only tastes good but also has higher nutritional value. Chilled yogurt is an irresistible temptation in summer. If a dog that usually doesn’t drink milk suddenly drinks a whole container of yogurt, it will soon be relieving itself in the bathroom, because the enzymes needed to digest milk in the intestines increase only through stimulation. So drinking milk also needs to be done gradually.
