Cane Corso Puppy Training, Be Strict When Needed, Never Gentle
Cane Corso dogs are naturally very intelligent, so training is quite manageable. When dealing with them, balance firmness and gentleness. Do not shout loudly, and this applies equally to people. Show that you love them, and some instructions can be spoken kindly, but when giving commands or orders, use a firm attitude to make them understand that no matter what your order is, they must obey.

Cane Corsos, like us humans, go through a rebellious phase. During this period, the more commands I am given, the less I listen. Instead, gentle persuasion is more effective and I tend to resist discipline — the more you want me to do, the less willing I am. So, once you notice this, you can appropriately pause training. You can resume training after this phase passes. Training involves repeated practice. Only with willingness to practice can the effects be better.
Do not let the dog become overly excited while playing. When they are excited, they may do unexpected things, so learning how to soothe the dog's emotions is also very important.

Cane Corsos really enjoy being with children. In daily life, you can let them play with children, but you must tell the kids never to hurt it. Because once it feels the attitude toward it is unfriendly, it will perceive it as an attack and may retaliate. This can harm the children. Let it be on the grass; since it naturally likes children, it will quickly bond with them.

If it is fearful, you should train it on how to interact with children. Use the same methods as socializing with strangers to teach it how to contact children. First, let it interact with older children, who can control their movements. Tell them not to hurt the Cane Corso while interacting. If they get along well, it will feel comfortable with children and will willingly interact in the future. Then you can let it be with younger children. Households with children can also raise this breed to accompany them.
