In today’s society, more and more people keep pets. People choose different types of pets based on their own purposes, hobbies, and requirements. Among these pets, kittens are very popular because of their cuteness, roundness, fluffiness, and cleverness. However, regardless of the animal, they basically reproduce offspring. So, with reproduction naturally comes the topic of neutering. Many people don't understand why kittens need to be neutered. Actually, neutering cats is for their own good. I believe that once owners understand the reasons, they will be very willing to have their cats neutered.

Why Cats Need to Be Neutered

First and foremost, cat owners may not understand the reproductive capacity of cats. A cat usually has four to five kittens per litter, and sometimes up to about seven. If your cat goes into heat two to three times a year, then your home may end up with about fifteen to twenty kittens a year. Just imagine, which family is willing to keep that many kittens at home? So, what is the final outcome for these kittens? If they can find someone willing to raise them, that would be good, but a large portion of them will become stray cats. Therefore, for your own sake and to reduce the number of stray cats, you should take your cat for neutering after it reproduces. This can avoid a lot of unnecessary troubles.

Why Cats Need to Be Neutered

Another possible reason is that male or female cats’ physiological systems become very fragile during their heat periods. If these are not addressed, their chances of getting sick increase. Neutering can reduce a series of diseases, and it may also extend the cats’ lifespans. Many cats are extremely unstable in character and often meow loudly during their heat periods. After neutering, these behaviors can be improved.

Why Cats Need to Be Neutered

In short, the benefits of neutering cats outweigh the disadvantages. But if you think you can raise a lot of cats yourself, then you may choose not to neuter. However, no matter what, we must always treat small animals kindly.
