Carrying Out a Weight Loss Plan Together with a Fat Cat
Himalayan Cat
If you and your both have a 'boneless'—unnoticeable bone structure—body shape, why not try the following methods to lose weight together.
1. Reduce calorie intake and increase fiber consumption. There are many high-fiber cat foods and human foods on the market, low in fat but filling, which helps with weight loss.
2. Do not switch entirely to low-fat foods at once; gradual change helps both you and your cat adapt slowly.
3. Eat smaller meals more frequently. Divide usual meals into three or four servings. More frequent meals can avoid hunger and make both you and your cat feel well-fed.
4. Avoid excessive dieting. Although both you and your cat need to lose weight, too much dieting harms the health of either party.
5. Record weight. If weight does not decrease, set goals and track eating habits.
6. Reduce snacks. Your records should also include the time and place of eating. Avoid letting the cat linger near the food bowl outside normal meal times and refrain from lingering in the kitchen or near the refrigerator yourself.
7. Exercise more. Play some active games with your cat. For example: when it approaches you, quickly dodge or chase it around the house.
8. Use non-food rewards: if you lose weight, buy a gift for yourself; if your cat loses weight, buy it a new toy.
9. Have perseverance. Resist the temptation of food yourself and firmly ignore the cat's pleading cries for food.
Set a target weight first, refer to feeding amounts in the weight loss food catalog, split feeding into multiple daily meals, reduce snacks, maintain consistency, always adhere to a firm principle, endure their pitiful begging eyes and frantic bowl-banging actions, only then can you achieve your slimming goal.
