　  1. Buy some toys for the

　　 Such as carpet sets for scratching, hanging balls, moving toy mice, etc., let the play with toys until it is tired, naturally not energetic enough to scratch you to play.

　　2. Repeatedly bring it to a dedicated scratching place

　　 Prepare special scratching tools. Although there are many types available in the market, homemade ones are also quite good. Just wrap cloth strips around a wooden board. If possible, prepare multiple boards and place them where the cat likes to go. If the cat starts scratching the furniture, immediately say "No" and take it to the place with the special wooden board. The owner can hold its front paws to make it scratch. At first, the cat may be noisy, but after several times it will patiently scratch. When it can skillfully scratch, praise it, so the cat will naturally remember the scratching spot.

　　3. Help the cat trim its nails

　　 Basically, all dislike nail trimming, not because it causes pain. So before trimming the cat’s nails, it is best to choose a comfortable place, place the cat on your legs or knees, gently stroke its paws, then push out the claws to trim the nails.

　　 Sometimes if you can't wait, you can spray a deterrent on places you don't want it to scratch or sprinkle vinegar that cats dislike. However, this effect is temporary, and once the smell disappears, so does the effect, so patience in education is most important.
