Some Notes on Cat Toilets
American Shorthair Cat
First, always keep the cat litter dry. Do not let cat urine soak into the litter. The best method is constant cleaning, ideally twice a day. Remove the clumped litter and add fresh litter, replacing all of it after a period of time. In addition, the litter box should be cleaned frequently, at least once every two weeks. After cleaning and drying, add 5-8 centimeters thick litter to the box. Do not add too much at once, as cats do not like very thick litter.
Fresh litter and container
It is best not to choose scented cat litter. Many products on the market add fragrances to mask the smell of cat feces, but cats do not like scented litter. The litter box is very simple; any plastic container that a cat can squat in can be used as a litter box. It is best to choose a container twice the length of the cat's body.
Number of toilets matches the number of cats
You should prepare as many toilets as the number of cats you have. Do not provide only one litter box for multiple cats for the sake of convenience. Also, place litter boxes in a well-ventilated area to easily remove the smell of cat waste. The ideal toilet environment for cats is: well-ventilated, far from cat food, and away from disturbances by other pets. (Source:PetsZone)
