Is the Cat Vomiting Because It Is Sick?
Tabby Cat
During a cat’s growth, owners may find that one day the cat suddenly eats a lot, then finds a darker corner to start vomiting, throwing up all the food it just ate, and then goes back to eating, repeating this once or multiple times before becoming lively again. This phenomenon is often caused by excessive hair inside the cat’s body, and owners need not worry. Just provide more water and let it rest quietly.
When a cat vomits, owners should observe carefully. If there is no obvious abnormality after vomiting, they can be reassured. However, if the cat shows extreme lethargy, loss of appetite, and disinterest in movement after vomiting, the owner should contact a veterinarian promptly. The cat is very likely sick and needs treatment.
If the cat has not been vaccinated and starts persistent vomiting recently, it is best to take it to the vet and recommend testing ear blood. If the vet finds signs of feline panleukopenia through testing, the treatment becomes more complicated. The cat will need a serum injection and antibiotic auxiliary treatment. After nearly two weeks of observation, if the cat survives, the disease can be considered cured. After resting for two weeks, immediately vaccinate with the feline triple vaccine. (Source:PetsZone)
