Persian Cat

Cats that often go outside face much greater dangers than those who stay indoors all the time. For example, they may sometimes be injured by cars, bitten in fights with other cats, possibly swallow toxic bait, get hit by thrown stones, or have their paws pierced by sharp fragments, and so on. Apartment cats are often injured by swallowing things they shouldn’t eat, or caught in strings. They may be burned or scalded by the stove or poisoned by accidentally eating toxic plants. These injuries can all be prevented. Many infectious diseases can be prevented by vaccination. It is most important to regularly take measures to prevent parasites in outdoor cats. However, indoor cats might also become infected with parasites by contact with other household pets or by eating raw fish. Raw meat can also transmit certain fatal diseases, so meat must be cooked before it is fed to cats.

Some main disease symptoms and possible causes will be introduced one by one. In any case, never hesitate to consult a veterinarian. It’s always better to check more than less. If the vet finds nothing wrong but symptoms persist, there may be two possibilities: purely psychological reasons or causes not detected by the vet. A cat that is listless, dirty all over, frequently licking things, scratching itself, or suddenly attacking the caregiver may have both psychological causes (stress, fear, depression, frustration, loneliness, jealousy, etc.) and physical causes (pain, illness, food allergy, etc.). It is recommended to consult natural therapy and animal psychology treatments if such situations are suspected. (Source:PetsZone)
