Himalayan cats and similar breeds are lively and cute, love cleanliness, and whether male or female, easily form deep bonds with their owners, making them ideal family companions. However, when raising cats at home, whether to choose a female or a male cat is a question every owner considers before getting a cat.

　　Generally, female cats are gentle in temperament, smart and understanding, emotionally rich, and willing to be affectionate with their owners. Except for loud and unpleasant meowing during mating season, they usually live quietly and normally.

　　Male cats have especially strong curiosity and adventurous spirit, are combative, like to stray outdoors at night, and love playing with people. But sometimes their play gets excessive, losing control, causing attacks that bite or scratch other cats or people. During mating season, to defend their territory, they often urinate in corners of the house, producing a strong urine smell. Sometimes they may go out for days without returning home. Therefore, many people prefer female cats.

　　I think raising a male cat is better because male cats are robust, look imposing and cute, are easy to train, and rarely get sick. To reduce trouble, neutering can be done at 6 or 7 months old. Neutered male cats become quiet and gentle and stop the bad habit of spraying urine during mating season.
