Some Basic Training for Kittens
Persian Cat
Generally speaking, when a kitten reaches 2-3 months after physical maturity, basic training can begin. It is best to conduct training sessions before feeding, because hungry kittens are more willing and easier to get close to humans. Also, to obtain food, kittens become more obedient and well-behaved. Therefore, using food as a lure is a very effective training method.
During training, it is important to select a relatively quiet and comfortable environment for the kitten. Sudden loud noises or scares during training can cause sensitive kittens to become nervous. Out of fear, kittens might hide and become unwilling to continue training. Hence, a good and relaxed training environment is very beneficial for achieving effective training results with kittens.
In the process of training pet cats, due to various influencing factors, the kittens’ capacity to learn and the training duration will vary. Therefore, owners need to have sufficient patience and confidence to train their kittens. At the same time, provide kittens with more care and guidance, more tolerance and understanding, to help them accept and complete the training as soon as possible. (Source:PetsZone)
