Actually, training a kitten to use the toilet and learn to use the litter box is not difficult. First of all, cats are very smart. As long as the owner’s training method is correct, the cat will generally remember after three to four times. Of course, there are some particularly naughty cats that will not cooperate. Owners must avoid using violence against naughty kittens, otherwise it will only backfire.

When you first bring the kitten home, if you don’t teach it properly, it will usually relieve itself anywhere. Even if it goes in the litter box, it is just by chance. So before bringing the kitten home, prepare the litter box. As soon as you enter the door, hold the kitten and use its paws to scratch the litter. A smart kitten will understand what this means at a glance. Of course, some kittens will not pay attention to what you are doing, and will still relieve themselves anywhere even after teaching. At this time, you need to educate it (corporal punishment is not allowed). You must educate it in a righteous and very serious tone to let it know you are unhappy. It is said that cats have poor memory, so you must catch it on the spot to educate it on the spot. After education, pick up the poop with clean tissue and let the kitten smell it, then take it to the litter box and let it see you put the poop into the litter box. Since cats rely on scent to identify, this clearly tells it, "Your toilet is here!" When it needs to poop next time (kittens will meow and raise their tails in a half-squat position when pooping), pick it up and place it in the litter box, and scratch a few times to show it, deepening its memory. After several times, the kitten will basically use the litter box. Also, the place the cat previously urinated or pooped must have its lingering odor removed; you can use orange peels for daily cleaning.

Remember, teaching the kitten to use the litter box must be done as early as possible. If you’re lazy and let it handle things on its own for a while, the house will be full of the "toilet" scent it leaves. The kitten will become confused, and bad habits will be hard to correct over time. Notes: When the cat does not bury the poop well, catch it and take it to see the litter box; it will automatically bury the poop properly. The litter box should be placed in a relatively hidden, dimly lit, and less trafficked area. Also, after the kitten starts using the litter box, reward it; this will deepen its impression.
