Cultivating the Habit of Cats Eating Well

Exotic Shorthair Cat
When cats have eating problems, it often means they are sick. Therefore, it is important to observe the cat's eating situation and cultivate the habit of eating well, so we can discover problems at any time.
1. Develop the habit of eating at fixed times and places
If you want the cat to develop the habit of focusing on eating, you should give food at set times and fixed amounts from a young age. Do not let the cat's bowl always have food, as cat food that has been left out for too long loses its taste and smell, causing waste. Teach the cat to focus while eating, and if the food is not finished within thirty minutes, take away the cat food and only provide it again at the next mealtime. Do not let the cat develop the bad habit of skipping food whenever it doesn’t want to eat from a young age. Once this habit is formed, cats will become pickier eaters. Imagine in the hot summer, if there is leftover food in the bowl, it will easily spoil, and eating it could cause gastroenteritis.
