Cat Language Mainly Divided into Four Types
Cats are very intelligent animals, capable of producing more than 200 kinds of sounds. Some clever cats have even learned to imitate human speech, such as a cat in Russia that can say simple phrases. News about cats talking is not uncommon. Here is an introduction to the four types of cat language:
First type: Hissing
A high-pitched hissing sound with the mouth open, the tongue curled into a tube shape, and warm breath exhaled simultaneously. It is used to express fear, anger, or even to threaten others to stop.
Second type: Purring
When you hold him, pet his chin, he climbs onto the bed at midnight, or stretches lazily with his limbs, this is a sign that cats feel very content. But they also purr when they are sick or in pain.
Third type: Meow
A low and gentle sound that indicates greeting, welcome, good mood, or response. Louder meows may mean complaints or requests.
Fourth type: Mew
Indicates confusion, complaints, dissatisfaction, and sometimes that the cat has become impatient.
