What Kind of Water Is Good for Household Dogs to Drink

Dogs
Household dogs often have many water choices, but which kind of water is better for dogs to drink? Let me analyze them one by one.
1. Ordinary Natural Water
Unboiled tap water is the most unhygienic and unsafe. Besides containing chlorine for disinfection, which affects taste, the long delivery pipes mean the hygiene quality cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, it is better for dogs not to drink or drink less.
2. Boiled Water
Boiled water is much safer and more hygienic compared to tap water. But please pay attention to whether there is scale buildup at the bottom of your kettle. If heavily accumulated, please clean it, otherwise long-term consumption can cause diseases like stones in dogs.
3. Barrel or Bagged Purified Water
The advantage of purified water is that it is very clean and pure, without any microorganisms or impurities. However, the downside is that it is too pure and clean, filtering out many essential minerals and trace elements needed for many dogs' growth.
4. Natural Mineral Water
It is very helpful for dogs that have long-term consumption of purified water. But if you let them drink mineral water every day, it will inevitably cause an excess supply of minerals in their bodies, easily forming urinary stones. Especially pets with uremia or urinary stones should drink less.
