This day has become a must-celebrate local festival called the Yulin Lychee Dog Meat Festival. Not only on the summer solstice but also on the winter solstice, dog meat is consumed. On this day every year, a large number of human companions are sacrificed, with countless dogs from all over the country being digested by humans. This illustrates an astonishing number.
　　Dogs are indispensable friends to humans. To protect dogs, we hope everyone "show mercy with their words." Recently, there have been continuous online reports calling for a boycott of the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. Many people are advocating to resist the festival. So, what should we do ourselves while resisting?
　　We should treat dogs and other lovely animals as friends. Many people express hatred toward animal abusers. When they see animals being bullied by people, they step forward to plead for mercy and ask to spare the little animals.
　　While protecting dogs, we hope dog-owning families will practice scientific and civilized dog raising:
　　1. Take responsibility. As a dog owner, you should bravely take on disputes or troubles caused by your dog.
　　2. Stop barking indiscriminately. Learn to control your dog's barking so as not to disturb others’ normal rest.
　　3. Avoid pedestrians. Many people are afraid of dogs, so when encountering pedestrians, be polite and avoid them.
　　4. Vaccinate. Vaccinating dogs is key to ensuring the health of both dogs and yourself. Regular vaccinations should be given to prevent disease transmission.
　　5. Elevator courtesy. In narrow elevators or spaces, let people afraid of dogs go first.
