To clean the ear canal, wrap an appropriate amount of cotton around the hemostatic forceps according to the size of the dog's ear canal, drip ear wash, and rotate it inside the ear to clean until the cotton taken out from the ear is free of dirt, then the cleaning is confirmed complete.

If there are a lot of secretions in the dog's ear canal, accompanied by inflammation, bleeding, redness, and swelling, first trim all the hair inside the dog's ear cleanly, then drop a few drops of anti-inflammatory ear drops into the ear canal, cover the ear back, gently massage at the ear root for 3-5 minutes, then use hemostatic forceps to hold cotton to wipe off the secretions clean. When puppies change teeth, carefully check if milk teeth have fallen out, as retained milk teeth will hinder the normal growth of permanent teeth. Train the dog to brush teeth regularly—start by gently rubbing the dog's gums back and forth with your finger, initially only rubbing the outside part. Once the dog gets used to this, open its mouth and rub the inner teeth and gums. When the dog is accustomed to finger rubbing, wrap gauze around your finger to rub the teeth and gums. When using a toothbrush, hold it at a 45° angle, brush in small circles at the junction of the gums and teeth, brushing several teeth at a time. Finally, brush vertically to clean dental plaque between teeth, then continue brushing the inside teeth and gums. To clean teeth with an ultrasonic scaler, first anesthetize the dog completely, lay it flat on the grooming table, drip eye drops into the eyes. Then, elevate the dog's neck, tie the upper and lower jaws separately with two bandages, and pull the bandages to open the mouth fully, exposing the teeth. Next, hold the scaler handle with one hand pointing the scaler head at the teeth, use a cotton swab with the other hand to open the mouth to expose teeth for cleaning; clean one side, then the other. After cleaning both sides, check the inside of the teeth for tartar; if present, clean it as well. Finally, apply a small amount of iodine glycerin to the cleaned teeth and gums.
