The kennel should be considered the dog’s den. When the dog needs solitude, it knows where to find its own safe place. Dogs are den animals and do not need a large area; they prefer a place that is moderately quiet and not too bright. Therefore, try to cover the kennel’s four sides with breathable, light-blocking cloth to create a secure feeling. When guests who dislike or fear dogs come to the house, you can put the dog back into the kennel to provide a calm environment for both dog and guests. Because dogs can sense the guests’ nervousness, which causes the dog’s tension and excitement. If guests bring children who are afraid of dogs, this also reassures the guests.

The benefits of kennel-raising are that it allows dogs to have a sense of security and ensures hygiene and safety when the owner is not at home.
